Welcome to the 9th annual
Luminara Victoria Community Lantern Festival!

Around the world and throughout time, the celebration of light has been a rich and vibrant cultural tradition. Drawing on this, Luminara Victoria adds its own contemporary flavour to produce a magical festival that reflects the diverse community we live in today.

On Saturday, July 26th, from 5pm until 11 pm
the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria
will light up
St. Ann's Academy and Beacon Hill Park

Handmade lanterns, candlelit installations, elaborate costumes, musicians and performers will once again infuse the landscape with a captivating blend of light and shadow, colour and form.

Be part of the spectacle. Come in costume - and carry a lantern! Or join the hundreds of volunteers, artists and performers who make it happen year after year.

Together, we can create an unforgettable moment in Luminara history.

Visit our workshops page to find where you can build your lantern.
Or participate in the community lantern project
Ghost Salmon Run.
